We are pleased to announce another Exit4Luv Original “Ain’t That America Cryin”. This song touches on the topic of America’s society as it relates to economic hardships, the perceived indoctrination of the youth, the breakdowns in societies, and the harm of misinformation through mainstream media influences. With that being said, through all of the hardships in this country America has still survived almost 250 years of existence. It will be up to true American citizens to keep this country alive by keeping law and order and passing down the American values of our founding fathers to future generations. We can always remember American soldiers fought for all Americans. Please keep in mind we are not trying to speak for anybody or any one thing. This is just how we converse, learn, and share our music. So all in all we hope you enjoy this song. We like to write songs that mean something to people including ourselves. One last thing please feel free to go to our website “exit4luv.com” where we have a host of other information including videos and audio songs. Please pardon our dust as our website is currently under construction, but we are open for limited viewing.
We are extremely proud to present yet another Exit4Luv Original “The Danger In The Mirror “. If we ever thought patience was a virtue, then the creation of this song certainly demonstrates all of that. So, with all that being said, we took our time with this song. We both put aside our ego’s and contributed carefully and thoughtfully to the music together. It is truly rewarding to know we play off each other’s ideas. There is something very intrinsic and rewarding when at the completion of a “new” song and all that goes into creating, developing and producing it. At time tempers can flare, ideas are hashed out, music styles are fleshed out and created. Yet when the final finishes are added, we upload the song to those brave souls who follow us and hope that they find pleasing and comfortable those ideas, sounds and rhythms we put into the song in hope they may find something helpful to relate to. It is always our intention when recording our vocal tracks, to sing, to play, to mix, master, record with much purpose, crispness and clarity, along with more thoughtful, sweeter, and tighter harmonies, and to always complement each other’s voice.
Although it can be mind boggling, and challenging figuring out where to place both of our voices in the music, we keep pressing and trying new things until we hear what we’re looking for. Sometimes we are not even sure if we know what we are looking for, until that is, we hear it… That moment at playback when the new verse or new harmony sounds wonderful, we look at each other and smile… We also enjoy setting up the intro to the song because it sets the stage for the rest of the song. It is the one thing that Gary works very hard on and that is the musical introduction of the song. Gary asked me to evaluate and if possible, add in a horn section, and afterwards, I thought it added incredibly well to the wall of sound. I started to notice Gary’s bass guitar, it hit the sweet spots, and it was right in the groove. Gary plays many instruments, and he won’t admit, but when the time comes to write the bass part, his eyes light up. When he closes his eyes, I know then something sweet is being developed. It also felt like the bass guitar and horn section were communicating back and forth to each other especially in the intro, which I thought was graceful. All in all, we are thankful that we get to create music together and thank the Lord daily for the chance to be able to play. We hope we bring something special to our audience. Something you can take away. So please feel free to comment if you wish. Until next time stay safe and keep your eyes wide open.
We are proud to present our newest song “Red Blue and Black” our newest Exit4Luv original. It’s not often a band gets to gauge their growth and with this song I can sense a turning point in the degree of both writing and singing. This song represents a new level of maturity and growth while also allowing our musicianship to grow as well. We hope you enjoy our new growth in our singing and writing.
We are pleased to announce “Nowhere Bound” our newest song influenced by the current political “blues”. Because of the difficult times, we decided to take our time to let things settle down and resolve themselves. We are very proud to present this video. We then focused on our singing style. It was a pleasure for us to take our time creating this video content frame by frame. I loved matching the scenery to the lyrics of the song by connecting with the mental side of this song. Whenever I play the video it brings a certain vibe based on how the music is played to the video scenes throughout the video. It is something truly special to see this video and music combined come to life coming from our ideas mentally and into reality. It also was my pleasure to sing with my husband Gary the harmony parts. So enjoy and feel free to leave a reply.
“Walmart Nights Pawn Shops and Bars” is an Exit4Luv Original. This is a semi autobiography that reflects his early service and the challenges he faced as a young military American soldier. The song segues into the “Bluesman and His Queen of Blues” storyline from our other song. We hope everyone enjoys this. Feel free to comment or drop us a line. You can follow us on all streaming websites.
Hello everyone here is our song written on behalf of my husband Gary dedicated to veterans like him in particular called “Thank You for Your Service.” This song illustrates the story about veterans such as my husband who is one hundred percent disabled who risked his life paying/lived the ultimate dues of serving his country honorably. There is an often described phrase that veterans who returned home from battle live by that being, “All gave some and some gave all.” This simple phrase truly summarizes in part what many veterans have gone through in service of their country. However as they serve their country under oath sworn to secrecy, many of them, not all, but some, also have their very own “stories that has been untold.” When a combat veteran survives a tour of combat, or have engaged in some form of “fire fight”, they often come back with permanent “battle scars” either physical and or mental. At the time, these very same listed adjective’s were described back then as “shell shocked”, a term which over time euphemistically has rebranded itself to something benign like (PTSD). So it remains critical for the Veteran’s loved ones to understand their quiet suffering, when transitioning out of military service.
For the veterans who are clinically diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) it is like fighting another battle. The words of this song come in part “first hand”, from a combat veteran perspective, who has been through two tours “in-country” in Vietnam. When it came to this song we decided to take our time and carefully write meaningful lyrics for this song to do it justice. Gary helped me throughout the song to grow as an artist, I felt much confidence especially towards the end as it started to make more sense. So I was pleased to sing back up vocals. I also felt compelled to put in a horn section in the song. I am proud of my husband playing all of the guitars including lead guitar, bass, and rhythm guitar. I am also honored to have invested the time we have into this song together. He also played the drums lively with great dedication, energy, and delightfulness. So we hope everyone can enjoy our presentation of this song.
We are pleased to announce our newest song “Loose Lips Sink Ships”. This song is very special and dear to us because we took our time to write this song along with the lyrics to match the melody. The meaning of this song speaks about the indoctrinated powers of influences in education and how it can impact students of newer generations. This song is partially an example of how indoctrination can take affect on the younger people. In the case of indoctrination, they take words innocently to refine them and in that process redefine them in a sneaky way. With all that being said, we are excited to share this song because it shows our new growth. With new music comes a certain social responsibility to do this right as we continue to grow in this musical journey. So we hope you enjoy this song and feel free to comment. Until then be safe.
We enjoyed writing this song. It was kind of inspired by the significant turn of events that our country is going through. All instruments are played by Exit4luv as well as the mastering. We hope you truly enjoy our new song, “Bitter Sweet”.
Hello to everyone, we are pleased to announce our newest song “Little Black Dog Blues”. This song was in part inspired by our little black dog “Bandit”, who is a often described like a three ring circus. In other words, we often see him as a rambunctious, often hustles us to get cookies, but he is truly a loving, and playful puppy. So this song truly means a lot coming from our perspective. In addition, we mention in the video that our little black dog “runs through the doggie door without fear of looking for the wheels”. The reason why we say this is because when we had a doogie door, he would run through it to get outside without any fear of what is on the other side. We thought it would be fascinating to share a little bit of his personality even throughout our song.
Also in the song, we make mention of Bandit being the “little black dog that keeps nipping at our heels”. We thought it would be interesting to make this part of the theme of our song since this is part of the playful side of his personality. We enjoyed arranging and developing this song, but it was truly a challenge to create a finished product. It was a challenge to come up with the verses and choruses and then to try to match the chord progression to the words of the song. Also Gary challenged me as I sang the harmony part, it did not come easy trying to keep up with the development of the song. Also playing my keyboard was a challenge because I was looking for a piano style and voice tone to improve and enhance the song. So I was amazed that my husband Gary even took a risk to sing the lead part of the song. So, it took some thinking, preparation, and some quality practice to make it our own. We were looking for a catchy hook and something for the audience to remember the song by like, “little black dog keeps nipping at my heels”. All in all, I am proud of Gary for his dedication to our music in all aspects from recording his guitars to playing the drums, and doing his best by taking his time to mix and master all of our music. We also want to reiterate that we are not just players, but we write, create, and record all of our own music. I also set aside some time to copyright protect our music in the U.S. Library of Congress. So, we hope you enjoy our music and feel free to comment, like, and subscribe to our page.
